On the morning of April 16 in Hanoi, SAFEGRO held a workshop titled “Transfer and Implementation of Internationally Aligned Teaching Materials for Food Safety Courses.”
Leaders from 13 universities and research institutes received the set of materials and committed to incorporating them into their teaching programs.
In his opening remarks at the workshop, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Thuận from the Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment stated:
“We believe that by adopting and teaching these 10 courses, thousands of students will receive internationally standardized food safety training each year, contributing to the improvement of Vietnam’s food safety workforce.”

Representing the recipient institutions, Ms. Trần Thị Định said:
“Vietnam National University of Agriculture sincerely thanks SAFEGRO for the support and transfer of the 10 internationally standardized food safety course modules.”
According to Ms. Định, the implementation of these materials for hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students in food technology and food safety will significantly improve the quality of training and strengthen Vietnam’s food safety workforce.
The course content is systematic, up-to-date, and highly practical, helping students master specialized knowledge and enhance their future professional competencies.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Tại Huân, Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, plans to fully utilize the content of seven modules and two training courses for both undergraduate and graduate students in the current academic year.
From the perspective of research institutes, Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Đạt, Vice Rector of the Institute of Food Industry under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, pledged to integrate the materials into various tasks assigned by the Ministry, such as supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
SAFEGRO reaffirmed its commitment to continue working alongside universities, training institutions, and regulatory agencies to ensure the effective implementation of these teaching materials.
SAFEGRO is confident that this program will deliver practical value, enhance food safety training quality, and lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s food safety system.
