SAFEGRO is proud to engage the side event “Local-Based Strategies to Sustain Food Systems Targeting Household Food and Nutrition Security in Vietnam” which be held on April 25, 2023. Funded by Global Affairs Canada, this side event aims to share the role of food safety in sustainable food systems transformation for sustainable healthy diets from Canadian perspective, results of nutrition-sensitive agri-food systems interventions at the local level and some other contents related to the food safety and nutrition system.
This is 4th side event of The 4th global conference of the One Planet Network’s Sustainable Food Systems Programme (SFS Programme) titled “The transformation we need towards the 1st stocktaking moment: Emerging from global crises by shaping sustainable, resilient, healthy, and inclusive food systems” is co-organized by the One Planet Network’s Sustainable Food Systems Programme and the Food Systems Coordination Hub and hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Viet Nam in Hanoi, Vietnam from 24 to 27 of April 2023.
The side event was chaired by National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) – Ministry of Health, Department of Cooperatives and Rural Development (DCRD) – Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), The Alliance of Bioversity International and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (The Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT), Embassy of Canada in Vietnam.
