On October 25, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), and the SAFEGRO project organized a webinar about chemical contaminants control in the agri-food supply chain in Canada and Vietnam.
The webinar attracted more than 160 food safety experts, policy makers, agri-business development, and food business sector participants based in Vietnam, Singapore, India and Canada. Presentations were given by Mr. Aaron Price, CFIA Science Branch on Chemical Contaminants and Mr. Chris Coulis, CFIA Policy & Programs Branch on the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations. Mr. Le Anh Ngoc, NAFIQPM in MARD gave a presentation on Monitoring and Conformity Assessment by the government of Viet Nam.
